Heart Transverter

Heart Transverter created a house with the roof covered with solar Panels for Solar Power International 2011. This was located at an outdoor exhibit and had two fully functional operating Transverter systems. This complete system is the Key to Infinitely Scalable Solar with Local Integrated Energy Storage combined with Automatic Demand Response & the Smart Grid with Autonomous Energy Security. The idea is to replace the old, two value, solar equation (energy produced + government handout) with a fat equation with very many values like UPS, Energy Security, Smart Grid, Energy Storage, Islanding, Power Factor Compensation, Surge Assist & Demand Response.

Heart Transverter had a fully functional Transverter based Smart Grid on display at Connectivity Week at the Santa Clara Convention Center May 23-26, 2011. The event began with a Value Proposition Roundtable of the Smart Grid and Heart Akerson was on the panel. He also presented about demand response The Untapped Potential for ADR. The OSIsoft - Transverter interface was also displayed. Heart Akerson and the Transverter won the Buildy Award for Innovatrion in the Smart Home.

Heart Transverter and OSIsoft were pleased to present a Distributech first! We demonstrated a fully functional microgrid operating the OSIsoft booth at Distibutech 2011 in San Diego. This system integrated renewable energy and energy storage interactively with the grid while providing UPS level energy security for the OSIsoft booth. OSIsoft periodically disconnected the booth from the grid and ran the system as an "island" to demonstrate stand alone energy monitoring, management and security. The Transverter is particularly data rich in its Smart Grid implementation. The Heart Transverter has been integrated to the OSIsoft PI System and was demonstrated live along with OSIsoft‘s Process Book data monitoring and visualization software. This demonstration showed how you can achieve truly distributed energy intelligence integrated throughout all homes and offices on your network with all of the advantages of grid controlled demand response, renewable energy control and energy storage without the trouble and cost of extensive new communications networks. EPRI has estimated that the Smart Grid will cost $165 Billion and take 20 years to implement in the US. This system is ready to implement today, providing advanced benefits, in a small fraction of the time for a fraction of the price.
